Yacht 3D Scanning Services

Capture every detail of your yacht with our specialised 3D scanning services in Greece. Using advanced laser and photogrammetry technology, we create highly accurate digital models of hulls, superstructures and interiors, providing precise data for refits, redesigns, engineering studies and documentation. Architects, shipyards and owners can work from the same exact 3D reference, reducing measurement errors, saving time and improving project planning. As part of AZ Hellas’ integrated aftersales support, yacht 3D scanning can be combined with our wider range of aftersales services to ensure every upgrade or modification is executed to the highest standards.

PRECISE DIGITAL MODELS FOR REFITS, REDESIGNS AND ENGINEERING PROJECTS

Yacht 3D scanning uses laser scanning and photogrammetry to capture the exact geometry of a vessel — hull lines, superstructure profiles, interior spaces and structural details — and translate them into accurate digital models. The resulting data eliminates the guesswork from complex refit and engineering projects: naval architects, contractors and shipyard teams all work from the same precise reference, avoiding costly measurement discrepancies and reducing rework. Deliverables are provided in industry-standard formats compatible with CAD, BIM and naval architecture software, and can be integrated directly into our yacht refit management process or used alongside pre-purchase and pre-delivery consulting when detailed structural assessment is required.

FAQs for aftersales services

Pricing is primarily based on the length of the vessel and the type of deliverable required. For high-accuracy point cloud scanning at 3 to 4 mm precision, the indicative cost is approximately €200 per metre. For a 3D virtual tour, pricing typically ranges between €50 and €60 per metre. These figures may vary depending on layout complexity, accessibility and specific project requirements.

Duration depends on vessel size and the level of detail required. A 35-metre yacht typically requires 16 to 20 working hours for a full point cloud capture, while a virtual tour of the same vessel can generally be completed in around 8 to 10 hours. Larger or more complex vessels may require additional time.

No. The capture is carried out using automated equipment and no personnel are required onboard during data acquisition. Provided access to the vessel has been arranged in advance, the process can be completed independently and without disruption to your schedule.

There is no minimum size requirement. Projects are assessed based on actual scope, complexity and time involved, and smaller vessels can be scanned just as effectively as larger ones. It is worth noting that pricing remains proportional to the workload, so a smaller vessel does not necessarily translate to a significantly lower project cost.
